ARTIST BIO
Ada Zachi is a Romanian artist based in Bucharest.
She graduated from the National University of Arts in Bucharest with a diploma in Set and Costume Design and completed an Erasmus year at Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan. Her journey as a painter began 20 years ago in an artist’s studio, though she feels as if she has been painting forever.
Zachi’s work is driven by an exploration of color, form, and shape as a means of expressing emotions and thoughts. She views art as an essential tool for navigating the world, creating for the sake of art itself while offering a reminder that beauty and peace remain possible.
ARTIST STATEMENT
In my latest work I have found myself interested in expressing my inner world with spots of colours, the bonds between the shapes and the lines and spaces between them. It's a continuous search of reaching out beyond the basic drawing tools, letting color guide the outcome. I use markers, pastels, acrylics and oil to shape my ideas into reality.
